University of Michigan wins the 2011 Sugar Bowl


This wasn't the best game that Michigan played the entire season, but we took home a W!! As a product of the Rich Rod era, this means a lot. I was only a part of one bowl victory in 2008 and that was Lloyd Carr's last game. So, being able to say that the Wolverines had an 11-2 season in 2011 warms my little Maize and Blue heart!

I have received  this link  from numerous friends and cohorts, with all of the well meaning intentions possible. Hit Felt Around The World

It reigned in the number one spot on SportsCenter for over 40 weeks. It hurt Wolverines to the core every time it was replayed. It solidified Clowney as a top draft pick. It is The Hit. I watched this game and The Hit was nothing short of amazing. The way Clowney hit Vincent Smith, the way he scooped up the ball with one hand and then attempted to run it back for a TD.  I'm still amazed that Vincent Smith was able to get up after that.  Personally, I thought I he was dead. Not even joking!
