And So It begins...

Michigan vs. Alabama Go Blue!! I'm so ready! Are you??

OKC vs. Heat

It's FINALS time baby!!! I haven't been able to fully watch the NBA like I have in the past, but was able to catch up towards the end of the season and watch a slew of playoff games. The playoffs caused for a lot of drama and emotion. I was impressed by the different types of teams that made it this year. The Indiana Pacers (an almost forgotten but scrappy franchise), the LA Clippers (a new and flashy team), Boston, Lakers and San Antonio (seasoned veteran teams with years of experience under their belts.) But none of which are contending this year for the 'ship! This year, we have the Oklahoma City Thunder facing the much anticipated Miami Heat. I am not a Lebron fan nor am I a Lebron hater. That boy has a MEAN game! Which amazingly he was able to improve during his time in the league. However, I personally don't appreciate some of decisions and actions. I think he had every right to leave Cleveland. He was no longer happy and felt he couldn't grow a...

The Great Debate

As the NFL draft approaches (5 weeks to be exact) there has been lost of discussion about who will go first this year. Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin III (RGIII) and runner up Andrew Luck are the biggest stories this year. I wasn't able to follow them both through out the entire season, mostly because of coverage, but I was able to catch a few Stanford and Baylor games. I have to admit I was disappointed by Andrew Luck. Maybe it was because I saw Stanford's game vs. Oregon but to me that was his time to shine. He was uneasy and rattled the entire game. I was unimpressed to say the least. Not to take away from Luck in any way!! The boy is BAD!!! I just wasn't really excited about what he did. Now for RGIII. I was unaware of this young man from the beginning. I'm very sad to admit this, because once I saw him play, I was thoroughly impressed!! He was smart and accurate. His moves were intentional and he was exciting to watch. I may be partially biased because I...

Heated Question...

I'm not really a fan of the Miami Heat. Now, before you discredit me as a hater or whatever new term you have out there, let me explain. The Big 3 of Miami are TALENTED! I would never take that away from them. But that for me seems to be all there is. I get the feeling that Miami knows they're talented and rely on that too much. There are times when fight and grittiness wins a game. Yes, there are times when Miami gives shutdown and cutthroat defense. They doesn't seem to be the case to me most of the time. There's no hunger to me! It feels like they expect a championship to fall right into their lap. It doesn't happen like that. If you aren't able to be clutch when it counts and show up ready to fight, then an NBA championship isn't for you. Until the Heat figures that out, this new line-up will be without rings.

From Tebowing ----> The LINear effect

Sports stories are some of the greatest to me. Players who people discount and believe will do absolutely nothing have the opportunities to SHINE! Now entering stage left: Tim Tebow: Jeremy Lin: Yes, ESPN can get carried away with their coverage of certain players. But you can't really be too mad about that. Let's think about it shall we: Tebow and Lin came into the picture when both of their teams seemed lost, and then won!!! No, it's not always pretty (especially in terms of Tebow) but they won either way. Tim Tebow had to watch ESPN daily as analysts criticized his ability and discussed how he would never succeed as an NFL quarterback. Granted, Tebow's style isn't quite effective in the NFL. A lot of changes were made for him in Florida and he was surrounded by some incomprehensible talent, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he would be completely awful. Tebow became the starter in Denver and the Broncos started winning. Yes, credit needs...

"Spartan Tears Taste Like Sugar!!"

University of Michigan wins the 2011 Sugar Bowl This wasn't the best game that Michigan played the entire season, but we took home a W!! As a product of the Rich Rod era, this means a lot. I was only a part of one bowl victory in 2008 and that was Lloyd Carr's last game. So, being able to say that the Wolverines had an 11-2 season in 2011 warms my little Maize and Blue heart!

You Have Been Posterized!!

This is what being posterized looks like:   Blake Griffin continues to embarrass grown men! This time, the unlucky victim was Kendrick Perkins of the Oklahoma City Thunder. My only question is, why on Earth did he decide to jump??
